Feathery OVC Friends

Amid the palm trees and ocean breezes, there are guests other than the people that enjoy the property at Ocean Village Club. The Nanday Parakeet or “Black Hooded Parakeet,” have been spotted all over the grounds in the early morning and late afternoon hours. According to the National Audubon Society, they are Native to South America and fairly common from southeast Bolivia to southwest Brazil & Paraguay and northern Argentina. Yet, released birds have established homes in places like Los Angeles, California, and several areas of Florida. You can hear their sweet tweets, so when you do, make sure you check out these little beauties!
